A Letter from Our Pastor
Thank you for considering enrolling your child (or children) in St. Mark's Catholic School. St. Mark's School has been fulfilling and exceeding the hopes and expectations of parents for nearly 60 years in offering a faith-filled and academically challenging comprehensive Catholic education. Grounded in Catholic tradition and attentive to evolving educational demands, St. Mark's continues to excel in offering students and families one of the finest elementary and middle school environments in the Treasure Valley. The independent and external accrediting agencies tell our story best. St. Mark's produces some of the most well prepared students among their state-wide peer group.
The School and Parish are fully integrated and form one composite family. Parishioner involvement in school functions, and school community involvement in parish functions is inseparable. I personally enjoy beginning each week with the students and faculty as we gather to lift each other up in prayer. My brother priests and I equally enjoy celebrating our weekly school Mass and spending time with our school community in First Friday Adoration in the School's chapel.
Our beautiful school chapel helps establish the character, cadence, and spiritual life of our daily routines. Located at the nexus of the school campus and adjacent to the secure main entrance, students begin their day in the awareness of the real presence of Christ in our chapel tabernacle. St. Mark's is the only elementary school in the Treasure Valley where the real presence of Christ is maintained in our school chapel. Jesus Christ is the heart and center of our school's spiritual life and culture.
